Are you ready for a wedding party? A corporate look would not be a good choice. How about a petite looking, clamshell based, jewel-stubbed mobile phone in your handbag? Motorola Jewel is exactly the mobile phone, which would match such an occasion.
Decked up with a shiny, metallic finish, Motorola Jewel has similar features as that of Motorola U9. In fact, Motorola Jewel is a modified version of U9. When the phone is not in use, its external display blends with the shiny, mirror like feel of the exterior cover. As such, the entire surface looks glossy and sparkling like that of a jewel.
When Motorola Jewel is used by a user, the animated screensavers move in and out of the surface to give a mystic look. The user can also see the caller ID or the music track on the display.
Motorola Jewel has a 2 mega-pixel camera and a video camera with 4x digital zoom. You can store video files in MPEG4 format. While the main display is TFT, that offers 262,000 colours and 320 x 240 pixels, the external display is an OLED with 65,000 colours and 128 x 160 pixels. The mobile is equipped with a music player that supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, enhanced AAC+, AMR, WMA audio formats.
The gadget is also aided with MP3 ring tones, hands-free speakerphone, screensavers, and animated wallpaper. If you want, you can use this phone as a tool to voice dial, message or email. The sleek gizmo can withstand a talk time of about 6 hours and a standby time up to 388 hours without losing its efficiency. Although, Motorola Jewel has 25 Mbytes user memory, you can add a memory card if you want.
If you can ignore the occasional freezing and use the camera during the day – as Motorola Jewel does not have a flash – the petite object can be the best thing to carry during a party.
